Dead Ends

Aside from a few promos and clips from various TCC broadcasts people uploaded to youtube,  I have found nothing new regarding Oscar. Nothing of season 3, no newly discovered foreign clips, nothing.

ONE MONTH LATER

Apologies for my absence, it's been a rough month for me. I've updated the Lost Media Forums thread I made about the show two years ago with my newest leads and a rundown about the show. Next time I post it'll hopefully be a more productive update.

Products about a flying Piano

Over the time that i've been searching for anything about Oscar's Orchestra, I located mentions of products and perhaps even toys of characters from the show, from a magazine that recently sold on Ebay to a camera being sold in Korea (Although i've lost the link to the listing, the seller had owned the camera since 1997)

There are bits and pieces about Oscar scattered about on Animation World Network, including this bit about ToyFair being interested in it, specifically for products to be shown at the 1997 American International Toy Fair being brought up, I can find no other information or photos for this. I would absolutely go wild to see an Eric or even an Oscar plush, that'd be neat!

There exists a shirt that was made to promote the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's attempt to beat the world record for World's Largest Orchestra... I'll get into that next time.

The Image

There's an image related to the show that has had my mind in a grip for 2 years, undeniably from before the show itself was made.

This image, as far as I know, originates from this post , I do not know where Kasa got the image nor have I ever found out if this image was simply promotional material or if it came from a pitch bible or even a pilot animation. I know that the image IS official, those are the same designs from a tile presumably from a background artist on the show that went up for auction.

I desperately want to know just where this image is from, where Kasa even got it, and if I could ever be able to see anything more from this show's production. If you know anything about it, please get in contact.

I'm honestly surprised how many more promos that i've found in other languages compared to how many i've found in english and that there has never been a japanese dub (to my knowledge). I'm also still looking for video evidence that the show aired here in the states(Various newspapers state it aired in syndication on the east coast)

Do not get me started on the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Birmingham Orchestra's attempt at the Guinness world record for world's largest orchestra, i've only found a shirt and two newspapers mentioning it and Oscar's involvement in it so i've hit a complete dead end with that.

There's a lot more to this show than I first realized, and I want to find all of it.

HOW DID THIS START??

Apologies if this post is very messy, I've never used this site before. I am Grimm, and for the last almost 3 years I've been searching far and wide for any information pertaining to a little known CBBC show that starred Dudley Moore called Oscar's Orchestra!

After my dad passed away in 2021, I was in a trench of depression and desperately trying to find anything to kill time in the sluggish, slow, grieving gray days. I had been searching up a different show named TUGS and one of it's voice actors named Sean Barrett's filmography, seeing that he voiced something called a "soothsayer" on Oscar piqued my interest and ever since then I've been tracking down episodes and cast members and animators and all sorts who worked on the show and people who watched it as it aired back in the 90's!

I uploaded most of the show's English, Arabic and Russian dubs to my Youtube in the past year, and I recently located a playlist of the Italian dub just sitting out in the open on the site! The Sinhala dub was posted by the dubbing company that did it last year too!

I'm currently on the desperate search for season 3 in english and a possible pilot episode, which I only theorize exists based on a single image I had found.
